Work to date:

Founding member of WishWorks- puppet shows, stilt walking and storytelling for schools, festivals, events and parties. We have performed extensively for local councils, wildlife trusts, community organisations and corporate events.
Our most recent project Fynn Dragon and the Ugly Bugs (2005) is an anti-bullying
puppet show for primary schools, funded by the Art Council, England and Brighton
and Hove City Council. We are involved with Creative Partnerships, Hastings and East Sussex. We lead carnival workshops as part of the PATINA carnival, Lewes, and run
the Hamsey Parish carnival.
We lead workshops in story-writing and puppet making for children and adults, for the able bodied and those with extra support needs.
My role within the company is of Chair Designate. I am a performer, workshop leader, writer and co-devisor and make some of the puppets, set and costumes.
I have a strong administrative role- making bookings, writing, organising publicity and mail-outs and chairing meetings.
I also do my own financial administration, dealing with invoicing, tax and funding applications.

02- Teaching Drama mornings in a secondary school in Brighton covering topics from ritual to Shakespeare
June-Aug 01- Touring with the Cycle Circus, taking a musical puppet show about environmental awareness around the west of England on bicycles
June-Sept 2000- Storytelling with puppets as part of the Faraway Wish Puppet Theatre. In play schemes and early years settings and at children’s parties- for disabled and able bodied children
Jan 2000- Leading workshops in Forum theatre in schools as part of the Adelaide Fringe Festival
1998- A German/English co-production, In collaboration with ARENA Festival, Erlangen, Germany
1997-98- métro-boulot-dodo theatre company. Performer, workshop leader, administrator and lighting technician. Touring and attending festivals in France, Germany and Serbia, performing in large Experimental Theatre venues. Leading short and residential workshops with GCSE and A-level students teaching Experimental theatre and devising techniques

LAMDA examinations in speech and drama up to Bronze medal standard. Yearly productions at the Patricia Hammond School of Dramatic Art in Chislehurst, Kent.
 

Skills: Stilt walking, Horse riding (own horse), Reiki, Inversion Therapy (acrobatic massage) ZeroBalancing, ITEC Holistic massage. Basic computer skills, Choi Kwang Do (martial art), puppet and carnival costume making, listening, car driving.

 

Interests: Reading, walking, cycling, travelling, writing stories, photography and music.
